One year after being recognized as one of Northeastern Ohio’s Weatherhead 100 companies, Bowden Manufacturing was again awarded for sustained sales and employment growth by being named to the Lake-Geauga Fast track 50 list of companies.

Encouraging and promoting economic development in Lake and Geauga counties, the Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 was founded in 1993 by Peter Ferrante, Vice President of Investments of Wachovia Securities in Willoughby, to identify and celebrate the 50 fastest growing companies in Lake and Geauga counties. Recognized at the Annual Recognition dinner held on November 3, 2005, at LaMalfa Centre in Mentor, the team at Bowden should take pride in the success achieved over the past few years and continue to work toward building on that success in the years to come.

Once again, the employees at Bowden Manufacturing have responded strongly to the needs of the local community in giving to the 2005 Lake County United Way campaign. Over 50 employees gave a combined total of almost $7,000 this year for the largest amount in company history. Participants in this year’s campaign had the opportunity to win company sponsored raffle prizes and Lands’ End embroidered apparel. In addition to the prizes, the company added $1,000 to the donation for a total of almost $8,000. It was the 14th year that Bowden has participated in the campaign and each year the dollars contributed has gone up. It’s great to see such a group of people who want to give back to the community.
